Family Therapy
Families are our first communities — a source of love, support, and identity. Yet even the closest families face challenges: communication breakdowns, conflict, transitions, or the impact of trauma. Family therapy provides a safe space for everyone to be heard, better understand one another, and work toward stronger, healthier relationships.
What to Expect
In family therapy, our role is not to take sides, but to help each member feel understood and supported. Sessions focus on improving patterns of communication, resolving conflict, and building empathy across generations. We work collaboratively to create solutions that respect each person’s voice while strengthening the family as a whole.
Our Approaches
Because every family is unique, we draw from multiple evidence-based and relational approaches, such as:
Structural and Systemic Family Therapy – clarifying roles, boundaries, and family dynamics
Relational & Attachment-Based Therapy – understanding how early bonds shape current interactions
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – addressing thought and behavior patterns in family relationships
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – fostering secure emotional connection among family members
Narrative & Humanistic Approaches – exploring family stories, values, and strengths
Mindfulness & Stress-Reduction Techniques – staying present and managing reactivity
Please note: Not every clinician practices every approach. Confirm with your therapist to learn which methods they use in family therapy.
